Goodbye
to Sheena
Sheena Clarke, manager of the Burngreave
Community Learning Campaign (BCLC), will be leaving
at the end of January to take up a post in Namibia.
Everyone at BCLC wish Sheena all the
very best in her new job and thank her for her contribution
to the campaign’s success. BCLC is going from
strength to strength in the community, Tel. 279 4960.

Burngreave Messenger
The Messenger was sad
to hear of the death of Michael Corner, former editor of the Star,
in December.
Mike began supporting the Messenger
in August last year, with on the spot advice on how not to get sued.
His vast knowledge of journalism and newspaper law has been invaluable
and we regret that we did not have more time to learn more from
him.
We are grateful for Mike's professional support
and advice, and would like to express our deepest sympathy for his
friends and family. He will be missed.

Many thanks to Gemma Geary and her mum Janet,
who have been delivering Messengers for us for over 2 years.
Good Luck for the future!
Also thanks to Louise Vennells, a fantastic editorial
volunteer in recent months. Louise has moved on to better things
