Women making history

Events for women continue to be a success as a turn out of 200 women at the Health Eid Celebration in December showed. Next month sees the launch of the Domestic Abuse Project which joins other projects and facilities strengthening support networks for women.

Events in March

Development workers are planning to follow their success with an event on 19th March to explore the way women are affected by drug use and to help mark International Women’s Day.
The Domestic Abuse Project will be holding its launch on 23rd March at Verdon Recreation Centre, and are planning storytelling, art work, poetry and a fine lunch. For further details of both events see the next issue of the Messenger.

Tell your story

The Messenger is planning to focus on issues affecting women next month and we'd like to include your experiences and opinions. We will always treat any contact in complete confidence, and would never give your name out without permission. So contact us; what you say might help other women recognise their situation, speak out and seek help and support.
