A magical event!

by Holly Pool and Rinica Warner (yr5, Firs Hill School)

On Wednesday the 14th January, Firs Hill Primary School went to see Aladdin at the Lyceum. As you looked around, you could see the excitement in the children's faces as the curtains went up.

Aladdin is a story about a poor boy who finds riches and a magic lamp inside a cave. An evil man Ebenezor tries to steal the lamp. In the end, Wishy puts a spell on Ebenezor and makes him good.

The actors were funny and the costumes were colourful. Our favourite character was Wishy, he made everyone laugh with his jokes. When Ebenezor came onto the stage, everyone hissed and booed. The best part of the pantomine was when Wishy got the audience up to dance, even the teachers joined in. It was a great afternoon and Firshill Primary School would like to say a big thank you to Burngreave New Deal.
