Burngreave
Messenger
In
recent months, the Messenger has given extensive coverage
to the respect paid locally to residents who have died violently.
Some have questioned if we risk glamourising lifestyles that some
have linked with criminality.
The
part of our community that marched behind the cortege has most to
gain from regeneration - but that will not happen if gun crime continues
to spiral out of control.
The
Messenger will continue to report on these debates. As 'The Voice
of the Burngreave Community' we must respect people's loss and grief,
but also not be afraid to learn the lessons from these tragic events.
If
you would like to have your say on The Messenger's coverage
of this issue please come along to Pitsmoor Methodist Church on
22nd March 11am - 2pm and let the editorial team know what you think. |
This
month’s issue was produced by the Editorial team: Richard
Belbin, Ian Clifford, Andrew Green, Richard Hanson, Mark Lankshear,
Jamie Marriott, Shaffaq Mohammed, Rob Smith, Gaby Spinks, Lisa Swift
and Paul Taylor.
