Assistant Play Development Officer (Female)

Location:
Pitsmoor Adventure Playground
Grade/Salary: SUG 3/4 - £14,316-17,955 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week - to include regular evening and weekend
working.
Duties: To work under the direction of the Play
Development officer and supervise activities and Play opportunities
in a safe and innovating way. This position will seek to reduce
barriers to participation by providing culturally sensitive activites
that meet the needs of all people in these diverse communities.
Attitude/Skills: The ideal candidate will hold
or have suitable experience or be willing to work towards NVQ Level
2 in play work. Evidence of working in a sport, community, recreation
or play environment and experience of working with children of different
abilities and backgrounds is essential. Experience of organising
children's programmes, play provision and play schemes is desirable.

a ground-breaking project to provide work placements and training
for unemployed people from black and ethnic minority communities
to work as Heavy Goods Vehicle drivers. There are plenty of job

SOAR Board has just been nominated for a national award for involving
local people in its SRB5 regeneration programme and had one of the
first Community Action Plans in the region approved for Objective
1 funding. The team that supports this innovative and successful
Board are recruiting for two key posts:

need two dynamic team leaders with proven skills and experience
in regeneration who will welcome a technically challenging programme
and a strong commitment to a genuinely community-led approach. One
post will oversee the work of the technical team (managing grants)
and the other the work of the community team (supporting local people's
