If
you are looking for a new challenge and wish to lead an exciting
project, here is your opportunity to join the Burngreave New Deal
for Communities team. BNDfC is a £52 million, 10 year community-led
regeneration programme targeted at the diverse community of Burngreave.
Supporting
Business is a two year project that is aimed at supporting existing
and potential business in the area to encourage growth in the local
economy. The project is looking to recruit for the following posts:
Business
and Enterprise Champion - 2 year post
2 year project (possible secondment opportunity)
Salary: £23-25k

The
successful applicant will work within the diverse community of Burngreave
with small businesses, sole traders and residents, encouraging entrepreneurship
and providing practical support and advice. You will be an energetic
individual with proven small business adviser experience who has
the ability to communicate and advise on operational and strategic
business processes, assess business training and development needs
and have the networking skills to be able to signpost businesses
to organisations that can help them to address their needs. As a
people person you will engage and gain the confidence of sole traders
and businesses who wish to develop their business. You will also
have marketing skills to sell the Burngreave area to potential new
inward businesses and to local residents considering self employment.
As an organised individual you will have the ability to manage the
project in a timely manner on a day to day basis including managing
resources, budgets, administering grants and all associated paperwork.
Part
time Administrator 0.6 FTE - 2 year post
2 year project
Salary: £14k per annum (pro rata)

The
successful applicant will provide an efficient and effective administrative
support to the Supporting Business project. Duties will include:
Providing
day to day administrative support for the Business and Enterprise
Champion
- Arranging
and attending meetings as required (sometimes out of office hours)
- Minute
taking
- Reception
duties
- Producing
letters, spreadsheets, literature for mail outs and emails
- Filing
- using paper and electronic systems
- Monitoring
stationary and replenishing stock when necessary
- Post
duties
