Dennis
Marsh 1935 - 2003
Dennis
Marsh, a local man who earned the love and respect from everyone
who met him.
Dennis lived
and worked in Burngreave for most of his life. After working at
Brown Bailey Steel Works for 20 years, he was made redundant. He
then re-trained and worked as a Disability Support Worker for 15
years. He was married to Sally for nearly forty years, until she
died five years ago.
He was a man
who loved his garden and adored his children and grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by his five children, 12 grandchildren
and everybody who knew him. He was a very kind and generous man
with a big heart that he shared with everyone.
The funeral
was held at Christchurch on 26th February and was well attended
with family and friends. His daughter Deborah and grandson Jordan
both gave very moving tributes to a much loved father and grandfather.
Dennis's family
would like to thank the staff of St Luke's Hospice for all their
help and kind words. Donations made to St Luke's Hospice are welcomed.
