Permjeet Dhoot I am the new Education Theme Manager for Burngreave New Deal For Communities, my employment experience is based in the voluntary & community sectors and the health service. My previous post involved working with the Sheffield General Practitioners co-operative based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital providing an out of surgery hours care for patients. I have lived in Sheffield for 15 years and have had the privilege of working with some members of the Burngreave Community Groups in the past. I look forward to working with those groups and many more again. I am very excited at the opportunity that the New Deal programme offers to Burngreave. I believe by working in partnership with you the community the voluntary sector and key service providers we will have greater and better educational opportunities available to both our children and adults in this area. For me education is a life long process and not just about schooling, we want to take this opportunity to listen to you, and help support and create educational projects that will ensure that overall educational achievement is raised in our schools, and adults are introduced to learning, offering progression routes to further courses and employment opportunities.
