Sheffield Galleries & Museums Trust is a forward
thinking organisation which manages five destinations
including the award winning Millennium Galleries and
a diverse range of collections.
We are currently undertaking a visionary £17.3M
project to develop Weston Park Museum as a centre of
learning and inspiration, which will open in autumn
2005.

A new post has been created to develop and deliver
a community history project in partnership with residents
of Burngreave, a vibrant area situated close to Sheffield
city centre. The successful candidate will oversee
the planning and delivery of all aspects of the project
from consultation sessions and family events to a
touring exhibition and publication. Current knowledge
and experience of community work and project management
are essential. This is an exciting project and applications
from enthusiastic and creative team players are welcome.
The project is joint funded by Burngreave New Deal
for Communities, SGMT and Sheffield Libraries, Archives
and Information Services. The post is on a fixed term
contract until March 2007. Benefits include 25 days
annual leave, pension contributions and free life assurance.
