Part-Time Community Recreation Area Worker

Grade: SUG 4, Pro-rata - £15,262 per annum

Location: Based at Carbrook Offices, Sheffield, S9 and various locations/sites across the city
Hours 18.5 hours. We particularly require people who are able to work during the hours of 3.00pm – 8.00pm, Monday to Friday, during term time, weekends and day time hours during school holiday periods.

The City Council's Sport and Community Recreation Section are seeking to appoint an Area Worker to support the work initially of the South East Area Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of an integrated team delivering area based Play, Sport and Recreation Programmes in a Community Environment.

The Successful candidate will need to hold a minimum of 1 National Governing Body Instructor/coaching qualification with experience of instructing a wide range of client groups. The post will involve work around physical activity, sport and play and will require experience of working in such an environment as well as experience of working in diverse and multi cultural communities. Good organisational and communication skills are essential.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal records Disclosure form in line with Section 113 of The Police Act 1997.
