TWO TRAINEE ASSISTANT RANGERS (BURNGREAVE)

Temporary until March 2005
Salary from £7,808 to £8872 per annum (£4.55 per hour) plus training budget.
33 to 37.5 hrs per week
including evening and weekend work.

The successful candidates will be employed by Sheffield Wildlife Trust but based within the Council's Ranger Service, as part of the Burngreave Green Environment Programme, (a Burngreave New Deal for Communities funded project).

They will assist the Project Development Officer/Ranger to enhance and promote the valuable green spaces of Burngreave for this culturally diverse community.

The most important qualification is commitment to working withthe community to improve the open spaces of Burngreave. Training will be given in all aspects of our work; this will include formal training as well as valuable hands on experience. Some experience of community based environmental projects and/or practical conservation would be advantageous.

Due to the nature of the work this post is subject to a CRB check.
