What you told us…

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Have Your Say Day on 25th October. It was really good to hear your views on the area and to see so many people enjoying the activities. We will be working with all of the services in this area to find ways make the best of the good things you told us about and tackle the problems you raised. So what did you tell us on the day? Well, you were concerned about:

  • Improving the public realm (pavements/street light/appearance/litter)
  • Roads, traffic and parking
  • Crime and neighbourhood safety
  • The lack of activities for young people
  • The need for better facilities (shops/play/retail)
  • The negative image the area has

But you also told us lots of things you love about this area. Some of the bits of the area that people were really proud of were:

  • The local parks
  • Burngreave Cemetery
  • Crabtree ponds
  • The social centres (Verdon/New Roots/All Saints)
  • Roe Woods

We will be using all the information you gave us on the day along with feed back from all the other consultation happening in the area to help write our next Burngreave Area Plan. We would also like to hear from people who could not make it on the day.

Please tell us what you think at one of our public meetings or by contacting the Burngreave Area Action Team. We want to hear your views.
