Celebrating Burngreave

On the Monday 19th January the Burngreave Area Panel will be holding an event to celebrate Burngreave. Everyone is welcome so come along and join in the celebrations. There will be a free buffet to allow you to sample foods from all the different communities living in the area. We will be presenting New Years Honours Awards to people and groups that you have told us have made a real difference to this area. There will also be displays from a wide range of groups and projects that are actively working to improve life for people in Burngreave. The event will be from 6.30–8.00pm, Monday 19th January at the Sheffield Town Hall on Pinstone Street.

Same Chair, New Name

Congratulations are due to the Chair of the Area Panel who recently married. We would like to wish all the best to both her and her new husband. With the marriage comes a new name, so Cllr Jackie Field is now Cllr Jackie Drayton. Please see below for contact details of all of your Area Panel Members.

A Healthier Burngreave

At our next public meeting on Thursday 11th December we will be focusing on health. There will be presentations from, the North Primary Care Trust on the work they are doing in the area and the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Trust on how they link with the local community. There will also be a report on the findings of the Parkwood Landfill Site Health Survey. Please see below for venue and times. Everyone welcome.

You can meet your local Area Panel Councillors to talk about any problems you have and see what they can do to help by going to their regular surgeries at:

• Burngreave Library, Spital Hill - every Saturday 11.00 to 12.00pm
• Firshill TARA Office, 11a Firshill Glade – Saturday 8th November and 13th December from 12.15 to 1.15pm
