Basketball bounces back!

Regular basketball coaching and competitions will begin this November based at Fir Vale Sports Centre, following on from a programme of high quality coaching sessions delivered in local primary and secondary schools.

Caribbean Sports Club is working alongside South Yorkshire Sports, the Sheffield Hatters, Burngreave Sports Network, the Burngreave Sports Development project, Sport and Community Recreation and Interserve to provide extensive basketball opportunities for young people in the area.

It is hoped that in the long term local clubs will be established and run by local people. The partnership will be offering access to coaching awards, club development workshops and funding support.
