Six local women, Liz, Marjorie, Nikki, Rashida, Sue and Zahida, all registered childminders, have set up a childminding co-operative known as Minders Inc.

Minders Inc provides full- and part-time care for babies and children up to school age and part-time care for children before and after school or nursery and during the holidays. The service covers Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, but can be flexible.

While based in their own homes the minders also go to parks, playgrounds and the library. Children can be taken to meet up with friends and the childminders meet together regularly with the children they care for to provide a wider range of activities.
