Association of Sheffield Community Language Schools in partnership with Ethnic Minority Achievement Support Service

Post: Development Worker
Salary: £22,000
Hours of work: 37.5 hours Inc weekend hours of work
Contract: 1 year based on continuation of funding. This will be extended to a 3-year post.

The ASCLS in partnership with EMASS are seeking to recruit a development worker to work with community language schools in Sheffield.

Main responsibilities:

Effective development of Sheffield community language schools

Effective working relationships between the community language schools, mainstream schools, the LEA, ASCLS and other identified stakeholders.

Supporting ASCLS management committee in making the best use of resources and achieving value for money in this project

Requirements:

Candidates interested in this post need to have the following requirements:

Previous experience of development work within a community and voluntary setting, including developing strategic development plans

Previous experience of work within a community language school

Good IT presentation and communication skills at all levels

The ability to work in a community language as well as English is essential to this post.
