Science Week Lecture – St Catherine’s

During National Science Week, Dr. Richard Walton from Sheffield Hallam University spoke about science in the home at St Catherine’s School.

We watched in amazement as he made a ‘Baked Alaska’ where ice cream was baked in a hot oven.

We were fascinated by the love story of a greasy fatty blob (how washing up liquid works!) and learned about other household miracles that we take for granted every day.
