Burngreave Road taking shape
For the past two years plans have been in place
for the redevelopment of 12–14 Burngreave Road,
to make it more open and accessible to the community
as a whole.
Finally, at a cost of £140,000, those plans have
been achieved and the whole building is now open. The
top floor has been completely renovated, a lift fitted
and a reception area created.
The renovation makes BCAT more accessible to our community.
The reception area will become an exhibition area displaying
information about projects and activities that operate
in the area.
The Burngreave Language Support Agency, the Firshill
& Firvale Objective 1 team and the PCT Community
Health Educators, are all based on the top floor, and
will be joined by the BNDfC Small Grants team upon their
appointment.
The lift allows the whole building to be used and accessed
by everybody, regardless of any mobility problems.
