Making room for children
by Charlotte Hall
Ellesmere Out of School Project has
finally settled into the new Community Room at Byron Wood
School, after months of holding the club in the dining hall.
It was open house as mums, dads and children
celebrated the move with a huge party, opened by Councillor
Jackie Drayton, also a Govenor, who said:
“The new room will enable
even more children to enjoy the activities provided by the
wonderful Ellesmere Out of School Project.”
There was jelly and cakes all round with party
games and a magician. Project co-ordinator, Teresa Clayton,
said “The children deserve the best we can give them.
It’s great that the children have a much more child-friendly
environment to play in – it’s very important that
they have somewhere welcoming to play. The club would like
to say a huge thanks to New Deal and New Opportunities Fund,
and of course to Byron Wood School.”
