Grimesthorpe Road

On Tuesday 2nd March the Area Panel held a special meeting to talk about traffic problems on Grimesthorpe Road. Over 40 local residents attended to talk about the problems on the road and decide on a way forward. At the meeting it was agreed that traffic calming would be the best solution to the problems. The Panel is now working with the City Council’s Highways Service and Burngreave New Deal to find funding for the scheme. We hope to come back to you later in the year with some designs for a scheme based on what people said at the meeting. Thank you to everyone who came.

A Transport Strategy for Burngreave

At the last meeting of the Burngreave Area Panel on 11th March the Council’s Highways Service came along to talk about the Burngreave Transport Strategy. The strategy aims to contribute to creating a cleaner, greener, safer and more sustainable Burngreave. The strategy sets these aims out in more detail and includes an action list of things that will happen over the next year, 5 years and 10 years to make this happen.
