Free grants to help make your
home cosier
Are you a home owner or do you rent
from a private landlord?
Do you receive any income or disability
related benefits or credits?
If so, you may be eligible for a free Government
funded grant worth up to £2,500 to help you keep warmer,
healthier and more comfortable in your home and save you money
on your energy bills.
Warm Front grants are aimed at people aged over
60 receiving benefits, families with children and expectant
mothers receiving income related benefits. People who receive
certain disability related benefits are also entitled to apply.
Warm Front provides a package of insulation
and heating measures tailored to meet your individual needs,
including loft and cavity wall insulation, draught proofing,
hot water tank jackets and, in some cases, additional heating.
Warm Front will organize and pay for all work up to the value
of the grant.
Councillor Chris Weldon, Cabinet member
for Neighborhoods said, “A warm home is
vital for everyone’s wellbeing, particularly the elderly
and vulnerable. We want to make sure that everyone who qualifies
for a Warm Front grant applies for one. Effective heating
and insulation can make a real difference and could save you
money too.”
Ms
Howarth, a Sheffield resident said, “I
was really struggling with my old coal fire. When I heard
about Warm Front, I was amazed, I didn’t really believe
I could get the system for free. The difference is incredible,
I’m thrilled, it’s so much easier and cleaner
to use, and my house really is so warm and cosy now. I would
strongly urge anyone who is eligible to apply.”
