MONITORING OFFICER
3 year fixed-term contract to 2006
Salary £20,000 pa – 37 hours pw

Reporting to the Development Director you will:
Develop and maintain a high quality monitoring system.
Ensure all financial and performance data from all Objective 1 projects is collected, recorded, analysed and reported. This will involve periodic project monitoring to ensure that all processes are carried out within the appropriate guidelines.

You must have:

  • A knowledge of the principles and practices of project monitoring
  • An understanding of regeneration issues
  • Significant experience of using spreadsheets
  • A high standard of presentation/report writing and analytical skills
  • Experience and knowledge of project development, management and monitoring systems

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WORKER
3 year fixed-term contract to 2006
Salary £18,000 pa – 37 hours pw

Reporting to the Development Director you will:
Initiate, assist and develop community development schemes in the Firshill and Firvale area of Burngreave as part of the Burngreave and the Firvale Objective 1 Community Action Plan. The work will include networking at different levels with a number of interest groups and agencies to encourage working in partnership and prevent duplication.

You must have:

  • Some experience of setting up and running community based projects
  • Some experience of working with diverse communities
  • Excellent and adaptable communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational capacity building skills

RESOURCE WORKER
Fixed-term contract to 2006
18.5 hours pw– £5.50 per hour

The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of office procedure, including: typing, filing, mail room duties, maintaining staff diary and room bookings diary, reception duties, answering telephone.

Basic IT skills are essential and a community language would be desirable.
