Armani Williams

Armani Williams, aged 10, started playing sports from an early age and achieved brown belt as a fighter at Sherbert Karate Club, then she became involved in football.

School teachers realised she had potential and she got involved in football tournaments three years ago representing her school, St Catherine’s. Since then Armani has taken football a step further, entering regular football coaching sessions at Concord Sports Centre run by Patrick Edwards which has now moved to Sheffield United Academy, at that time Armani was the only girl in a group of about 25.

Now football is changing, girls football is up and coming. In the three years since Armani started she has moved on to coaching sessions with Julie Callahan, Friday 6–8.30pm, and is now playing for Steel City Wanders under 12s who play in the Four Counties Regional Girls Football League. Well done Armani!
