Youth workers at Earl Marshal
Youth Centre,
Shirley Cameron, Elaine Virgo and Nazreen Ali, organised
a fun day in June raising £308 for
Islamic Relief.
“We’re not
involved in politics, we just all wanted to do something
to help. Everybody has contributed their time and
given something.”
Local
families provided raffle prizes, cakes and crafts.
Local women did amazing mehndi henna art. Musical
Works provided a drumming workshop, Johnny D from
Rotherham donated the food, and Sure Start provided
the ‘Hook-a-duck’ stall.
