Burngreave-based DJs 66digriz and The Only Michael are planning to put on an out of this world musical performance at Sheffield’s Showroom Cinema on Friday June 13th.

As members of Sundaze, the north of England’s longest established and most critically-acclaimed chillout collective, they will be presenting a new DJ/live soundtrack to one of Hollywood’s greatest sci-fi movies, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the latest in an ongoing series of new soundtracks to classic films which has included Silent Running, Baraka, Subway and most recently, The Straight Story.

66digriz, The Only Michael, Unity Dub and vocalist/flautist Anne Garner will be retelling the story of the film through an eclectic selection of tunes accompanied by live keyboards, percussion, guitar and clangerphone.

Entry is free and the screening starts at 8.30pm with a late bar until 1am. After the film the night continues with music from the Sundaze DJs and visuals from VJs av_dv.
