The
Musical Works…
…Are
looking for people who would like to work in musical education,
and preferably have some experience of working in schools, or with
children. They are especially keen to find people who can teach
steel pans, samba, bhangra dancing, DJ-ing & MC-ing and hip
hop/rap, although they would like to hear from anyone who would
like to be involved.
“We feel
that it is important to involve local musicians and artists from
the Burngreave area,” said Emma Pratt, Musical Works organiser.
Musical Works
is closely linked to The JuJu Club, an organisation that has been
promoting live ‘global’ music gigs for about 14 years
in Sheffield, and funded by the Sheffield Music Service.
- Musical Works
specialises in:
- Music and
dance from non-Western cultures (African, South Asian, African-Caribbean,
Latin American, Aboriginal etc.)
- Contemporary

etc)
- The combination
of acoustic music and current digital technology
- Music technology
And they have
