Pitsmoor
people march against war
Pitsmoor
mobilised last weekend to join the demonstration in London against
the proposed war in Iraq.
7 coaches left Ellesmere Road to join one of the
largest anti-war demonstrations in recent history. Muslims, pacifists
and socialists joined forces with the many with no affiliation:
pensioners, children and families who had brought their home-made
placards expressing their opposition to war. Estimates of how many
marched vary from 150,000 by the police to 400,000 from organisers.
