BNDfC
Apprenticeship Programme
BNDfC
have almost finished the recruitment of our Theme Managers
whose role it is to bring our current projects to fruition
and work with the community to bring on line many more exciting
projects.
However,
the Theme Managers will require help and in order to support
them BNDfC are looking to recruit 5 people from the BNDfC
area to fill five Apprenticeship Trainee posts. Each post
will start formally in September 2002 and finish in August
2004.
The apprenticeship
programme is based on the belief that there is no better teacher
than experience. If you want to learn how to do something
the best way is to work alongside someone who knows the job
backwards. In addition to this the scheme will provide formal
training leading to a recognised and accredited qualification
in regeneration.
Apprenticeship
Trainees will undertake a two year apprenticeship which will
provide day-to-day support for the Theme Managers and the
duties involved will include:
• Clerical and administrative tasks;
• Arranging and attending meetings (sometimes outside
normal office hours);
• Active support and promotion of the BNDfC programme;
• An intensive and extensive training and development
package;
and many more duties too numerous to note.
In return
a BNDfC Apprenticeship Trainee post can offer you:
•
A salary of £12,000-£14,000
• Training and travel costs
• Childcare costs, (if necessary)
• The experience of working alongside a dedicated manager
• A chance to gain new skills and leave the programme
with a
recognised qualification
• The chance to become part of a motivated team whose
aim it is
to help the people of your area.
You can
be part of this, just telephone Tom Felicien on
0114 279 6932 and ask for an Apprenticeship Trainee Application
Pack, complete the form and return it to:
Burngreave New Deal for Communities
2nd Floor, Albion House, Savile Street, Sheffield
Please note that all application forms need to be returned
to the office by, 5pm on Friday 16th August 2002 (extended
from 2nd August 2002).
