To all members of the Burngreave Community.

We are writing jointly to invite applications to join the Burngreave Community Action Trust as Members or Trustees

As many will know the Trust is the child of the Burngreave Community Action Forum and its sole purpose is to carry out the actions demanded by you the people of the area. It has to work within the law and rules laid down by the Charity Commissioners to raise and spend the money required to do the things you want.

Last year a number of the founding members of the Trust including the Chair, Company Secretary and the then Treasurer, indicated that this current year would be their last and that they would be retiring on the 13th November 2001.

That date is fast approaching and replacements are needed to enable the work of regeneration in Burngreave to continue and be expanded, being kept in local hands.

This is a vital issue and needs to be carefully considered by people of good will living in the area. New blood is urgently needed to enable this vital work to continue for the benefit of us all.

You are invited to apply to become a member of the Trust or a Trustee your response should be made to:

Ruth Passey, the Volunteer Development Worker at BCAT, 12 Burngreave Road, Sheffield S3 9DD or Telephone: 0114 2728008.
