A Message to All Airwaves
From Burngreave comes a community initiative that's bringing together youths from all cultures. Pure Community Radio, whose license application has gone in, will be broadcasting for the people of this community sometime in March.
That's what I heard when I went along to one of the meetings held on Burngreave
Road last Saturday Morning.
This is a Listen to Us project initiated and organised by Owen Wright and Adbul
Razor. They both explained how this initiative has brought together interests
from young people representing all sections of our community. Asian, Afro-Caribbean,
Arab and Somali young people are eager to get involved. I hope to be reporting
more on this project and will be following its development with keen interest.
This is Rob Smith, bringing you local radio news.
