Dark Angel Takes Profile To
SADACCA Recording Studio

Gregory moving the floor every Thursday night at BED's, Souled out. The big labels are after this guy. He also plays at Republic. It was only a week ago someone complained to Dark Angel about their demo not being produced and mixed right. They were screaming at the frustration that producers nowadays just don't listen to the artist. I don't blame them cause I had that for many years until I stepped into SADACCA Recording Studio on Wicker, Sheffield.

Step into SADACCA Recording Studio and you wont need to complain about producers anymore. In this place you get to grips with what you need to know about producing your own tracks. Whether you're into Garage, RnB, Hip Hop, Drum 'n' Bass or just simply want to dabble for fun, this is definitley the place to be. Don't get me wrong. They are not going to get you to the top of the charts. No one can really do that for you but one person...YOU..! Anyone says otherwise is really having you on in a big way..!

With all computers, keyboards, Cubase VST and the rest of the software in place to get to grip with creating your own samples; you really can't go wrong. But there's more. SADACCA Recording Studio also holds classes for artists to learn the art of DJ'ing and ya can scratch ya heart out on ya brother's vinyls. They also have sessions for anyone to learn the guitar, bass, singing and also the drums.

There is really nothing stopping you. It's all there and packaged with Kenric who I know for a fact is one awesome producer and DJ. You will also see Robert Gordon who uses his amzing golden fingers to mix tracks that really blow your mind. There's Mink who really scares ya with his amazing skills in scratching or just plain DJ'ing to move the floor.

For futher Information call SADACCA Recording Studio and ask for Kenric on 0114 2780105

Experimentation Time
A Platform For All Burngreave Musicians & Singers

Bar 8, the alternative venue which is giving artists the opportunity to free style and go crazy on stage. We had artists from Burngreave that gave a brilliant performance on stage, and you can be next. Just come every wednesday night from 8pm-11pm and the Dark Angel will be there.

I feel this is a paper that ain't just about news but also breaking it down with what is happening for you all outside Burngreave so you can either join in or just have fun and watch as someone create some melodies. Dark Angel has great news for all musicians, singers and DJ's who work with other artists. There is a place called Bar 8 which is situated in the City Centre, on Campo Lane. Behind the Cathedral, you just can't miss it. It's an awesome venue with artists from different backgrounds performing live!

It use to be called The Golden Ball but now it has been taken over by Bar 8, giving all artists the opportunity to express their talents on stage. Already I have seen quite a few artists from Burngreavce doing their thang. I felt proud to see them there 'cause they had courage but also they had awesome talents that wowed everyone.

What attracted me to this venue was the diversity of styles and also the instruments that were used. We even had someone playing the Tabla and also singing in Arabic while mixing it with some heavy bass. Listening to that guy made me miss the festival that we had at Abbeyfield Park which was successful. I hope to see some of this in Burngreave. If you want further information all you artists in Burngreave then call Bar8 on 0114 2720070 or Note Perfect Productions 0771 3248981..Dark Angel

What Ya Need Is Community Spirit

So you finished your course at either SADACCA, All Saints or even Darnal Music Factory but you are really getting tred of fighting to get on the computer because the course is either full or you just had enough of so called producers letting you down by not putting the vocals higher, the bass kicking and the list goes on.

You can either plan ahead and save some money as you write your music down or use a dictaphone to record your melodies. Or, you do what many Burngreave artists have done; you create your own home based studio and believe it all ya, it is enough to get your tracks out on the shelves. what is it you need without selling out to the hype?

You need a computer first that has enough memory to run Cubase VST, Sound Forge and get yourself a CD writer too. It will save lot of time trying to swop hard drives and slowing your computer down because you got too many samples or files saved on the hard drive.

You then need a keyboard. A Midi Keyboard that is and an adapter to bang into your computer. The next gadget you need is a modular that got all the sounds you need. Don't forget that you should really bang into your computer a sound card. I'd go for Sound blaster live. I know, it costs a lot of money doesn't it? You just ain't got that kind of dough.

Do the right thing..! Get some serious artists together, set yourself a committee and share your knowledge by helping others. There is no better feeling I have found by helping others gain confidence and at the same time learn to create their own tunez, and even help towards setting up a business. Not only do you benefit but so do many in our growing community called Burngreave. I know you can do it....Dark Angel
