‘When we were young’

Under the staged environment of the studio, where drama and fantasy can be maximised, I create images with a narrative in direct response to the ‘Great Masters’ of Still Life and Portraiture.

In this series AA Milne, and his early poetry books, which were read to me as a child, have been my source of inspiration. I have used these to explore identity and emotion, and feelings close to the heart.
