‘Embodiments’

My work is concerned with the passage of time traced through personal history. ‘Embodiments’ is based on the distorted figure, incorporating elements of the inner self and insubstantial echoes from the past.

An absent presence is implied through shadowy suggestions of figurative allusions, which explore the various permutations and interventions we make in life.

‘True to the heart’ reflects the essence of the exploration into sense of self, the attempt to communicate, to feel and to remember, whilst identifying influences on reality.

Memory is rich in cultural resonance and central to our very being.
