‘embrace’

This is an acrylic painting of a wooden sculpture discovered on a family holiday to Scotland.

Holidays are few and far between and the embrace of the adult and child give a constant reminder of that week in Scotland. It is close to my heart.

I enjoy playing with colour and having to limit myself to such a small range to create depth and texture was challenging and satisfying.
