Community Advocacy Project

This is a new three-year Project funded by Burngreave New Deal for Communities which will provide a culturally appropriate advocacy service to the people of Burngreave. We are seeking to recruit the following:

Co-ordinator
Salary SG7 point 32 £23,358 (35 hours)
To co-ordinate the setting up of the project. The postholder will be responsible for the running of the project including recruitment, supervision and management of five workers and volunteers. Must have management experience, an awareness of the needs of the ethnic minority communities in Burngreave and have sound organising and co-ordinating skills.

Finance/Administration Worker
Salary SG2 point 14 £13,581 (pro rata 17.5 hours)
To provide general administrative support and organise the financial and monitoring systems for the project. Must have two years’ experience including setting up and/or developing administrative systems.
