Beat the Sneak

Over a third of burglaries are committed when householders are either in or have left doors and windows unlocked. Just a few seconds is all a sneak thief needs to open the back door, lift the wallet, purse, car keys or mobile phone and disappear again.

• You can help prevent sneak in burglaries:
• Never leave windows open in unoccupied rooms.
• Lock your door when you’re working outside
• If you have a side or garden gate, keep it locked
• Don’t leave valuables on open display
