Sheffield, like most other local authorities, has recently received a major boost in funding for Local Transport Projects. Uniquely, the area also now receives significant European and Regional funding through its Objective One status for the next five years.
A major programme of transport strategies and projects now needs to be delivered, together with travel plans to enable sustainable regeneration. If you are a graduate in a transportation, engineering, planning or similar discipline; or you already have some experience and are looking to further your career, then we want to hear from you.
You will be involved in a range of activities including: policy development, assessment and feasibility studies for proposed projects, public consultation and community involvement, overseeing as Case Officer the implemention of projects, development of travel plans, management of both in-house and external design consultants.
Applicants should be qualified to the appropriate degree level or possess an HNC or equivalent together with at least 3 years relevant experience.
