Over 7,000 people turned out for what was again another wonderful day of peace, harmony and musical splendour.

What is now a Burngreave annual event commenced with a colourful procession led by the large figure of The Predator dancing to the Sheffield Samba Band. Food, costumes, dance and games mingled with information, craft and fine artistry.

The ice cream lady returned again this year, observing her late husband’s request that she serve at the festival annually.This shows the feeling there is for an event that is a fine example of unity in diversity.

Thanks for the success of this year’s festival go to organisers Jackie Field and Associates, the staff of Green City Action and the countless others who gave their time voluntarily.
