PATWAR on the march Pitsmoor Against the War is stepping up its campaign against the looming war on Iraq. Lobbies, marches, and petitions are all being organised by the Pitsmoor-based group which is organising stalls every Saturday on Ellesmere Green where they will be encouraging people to sign a petition against the war which will be given to Richard Caborn at his surgery on 11th February. The group is also taking coach bookings for what should be the largest demonstration ever seen in Britain, on 15th February. Seven coaches went from Pitsmoor to the last demonstration and the group is expecting even more this time. PATWAR member Rev Don Stoker said: “We are being sleepwalked into a war with unforeseeable consequences.
