Mombasa proprietor Saidi couldn’t be present on the day, but was represented by his assistant Kenya, who explained to me the many delicacies and initiative behind the opening of the stall inside Castle market. Kenya told me, that living in Burngreave, they felt the need to cater for tastes in fresh- and salt-water fish, that reflects the diversity of the community. Having searched for premises and at present not found anywhere suitable in Burngreave, Kenya explains how excited they are at finding a stall in the centre of the market “but we look forward to a better future by one day expanding and opening up another premises in Burngreave, Rob”. On the stall you can find fish from all over the world. Octopus, squid, sea bream, tuna fish and steaks, jack fish, red mullet, snapper, crab and even tilapia fish from as far off as Lake Victoria. “We prep, clean and cut all orders,” adds Kenya. “We also do home deliveries for our older clientele.” For further information about purchasing the finest fish from around the world contact details are above.
