Normanton Pool Champs
The
Normanton Pub Pool team based at the friendly local on Earldom
Road have taken the local pool league by storm.
The team,
consisting of Burngreave community members, have not only
won the Darnall & District Pool League but have also taken
the team knockout, doubles and singles championships. The
team’s “Hotshot” has been Darren Homar,
singles and doubles champion.
Team spokesperson
Gerald Saunders told the Messenger that this feat was a major
local sporting achievement and was yet another positive development
for the area at a time when it has received all the wrong
publicity.
